I am stumped. On the main stage I've got a movie clip which is about 1200 frames long and has a bunch of layers each containing mc instances moving along guide paths. When I hit test movie, Flash takes about 4 seconds to publish it. However, when I duplicate that mc symbol (not instance), and add the copy to the main stage on another frame, all of a sudden Flash takes 4 minutes to publish! Is there something obvious I'm missing? I'm currently trying to troubleshoot by slowing rebuilding that 2nd movieclip symbol layer by layer, but thought there might be a known issue someone could alert me to. Thanks
