How do I make a Picture Album

When I create a picture album do I have to use thumbnails? Will it take forever to load my album index if I don't use thumbnails? I would appreciate as much detail as possible with this one, also if anyone knows somewhere else that I might find find an answer please let me know. I am quietly going around in little insane circles with this one!

You should use small, JPG or GIF versions of your graphics, optimized outside of FLash and imported in later to reduce the file size. Each of the full sized versions should ideally be another SWF which you load in using loadMovie. That's how I'd do it to be bandwidth sensitive.
