hi,

here's a little something i threw together yesterday.

my questions:
1) what do you think about the navigation?
2) what do you think about the code?

also... this is the first time i've ever posted my work online, so i'd really appreciate hearing some critical feedback.

site (http://www.sfu.ca/~tkirton/) and source (http://www.sfu.ca/~tkirton/test.fla)

thanks!

took me a minute to find the menu.

The menu is huge and doesnt need to be. When you click on a section the menu should block the content, makes the user do more work then they want to (they have to roll off the menu to see the content then go back to the menu to select a new location).

I did not look at the source.

Took me 1s to find the menu
Tru that the menu is huge. But why not if you can make a huge one
(my gandma will be glad to be bale to read what's on the display).

When clicking on a subsection you should make the menu go back and let appear the content

Didn't look at the source neither.

Oh and last thing, you should improve the design/color.
But I'm sure with more color than one and some extra - no needed - stuff, it willb e fine...

Go on this way :) :)

AND WELCOME ;) ;)

Ok thanks for the feedback guys.

I'm trying different ways of making the menu less apparent so that the content can be presented better. The issue about needing to roll off is kind of a toss up and you're the first person to mention it.

Ok, so i have a functionality/legibility issue.

thanks!
