View Full Version : Lets hear the opinions
Ok, I actually did this site a few months ago. Its kind of heavy and still not finsihed..Just havent had the time to tweak out the bugs yet..With the holiday stuff coming to an end, I'm getting back into the swing of things, so lets have some feed back, maybe some suggestions...and definetly some ideas to make it load faster and run smoother....By the way, the music takes forever to load....I'm a one man team, from graphics to flash....

Nice site - like the colours! I think the preloader is pretty neat too.
I think the photo's (in the actual images section) could be better integrated into the site - they just kind of sit there like they've been accidently loaded on too higher level.
Transitions might be a little more imaginative.
But i like the look of the site. It's easy to use, i don't like the pop-up - normal browser window would make it so much better.
Love the effect on the photo's on each section - is that after effects stuff or bluring in flash?
Nice site, nice design - i am a fan of it...good work indeed!
Best regards, snapple :)
ps - get rid of the pop-up :p
Thank you sir....The animation stuff isnt my strongest point, I came from a programming/still graphics background. So animation is still something I'm adjusting to. I want to ditch the pop-up, but she likes it, so....she wins. I really want to re-do the images section, but havent decide on how yet.....any ideas?

I don't think you really need to do a lot to them. All you would need to do to make it so much better would be to, have the mc that the photos are loaded into resize when the photo's load, and make it so that the drop shadow around the photo, covers all the photo, so that it looks like the photo is imbedded. That would look nice.
About the pop-up - you're the developer, tell her it's sh*t ;)
Regards, snapple :)
Hey Cota. Very nice. Other than the pop-up, there wasn't a thing I didn't like about it. Loved the color scheme! I wish I could have done the last one I did in (all) Flash, but with all the php/MySQL stuff, I'd be working on it till 2006. :D Very nice!
Yeah, I think I am going to kill that pop-up, it annoys me to death. So point in me in the right direction with that MC resizing to the image....no clue how to do that. I was thinking maybe making a thumbnail gallery and having the image resize like you said, but again, I'm clueless. I'm also going to add some backend stuff, so she can update everything herself, not sure if its safe, she isnt exactly computer smart. So direct me to the resizing movieclips..
Hey Cota, I don't know if you noticed, but that image gallery I did has a border that resizes to the image once the image is 100% loaded. You'll have to go through a few of the images to see what it does, but they're not all the same size. Some are verticle and some are horizontal and the border does a smooth transition between. Is that sort of what you're talking about? Some of the AS in that thing might work for your application. Let me know and I'll shoot it over to you.
Just so you know, I'm leaving for AZ at 5:00 AM, but I'll be back in a week.
Thats almost exactly what I'm talking about....any samples would be cool....
