play quicktime, avi, mpg ?

I am using FlashMX 2004 Prof., I need to know if you can play a quicktime movie, avi or mpg with out converting them to swf or FLV? My client needs to be able to play either format from a flash application. :)

nope. if the client needs it to be quicktime you could just do a javascript popup that would play the quicktime ... other then that .. if they want it in the application its got to be converted......

ok, Thanks. I pretty much come to that conclusion myself. I think I am going to use the flash video format, rather than embedding the movies in a seperate swf.

yeah the video format is better then putting it in a SWF ....
