That is a shockwave (http://www.macromedia.com/software/shockwaveplayer/) game, not flash. Made with director (http://www.macromedia.com/software/director/).

Dont you need to make 3D modles before importing them into Director? which to most ppl kinda means needing to pay more to get something like 3DS max or Maya

Dont you need to make 3D modles before importing them into Director? which to most ppl kinda means needing to pay more to get something like 3DS max or Maya...so you can't create 3d-stuff in director?

You sure can create 3D object in Director, but it was somewhat painful thing to do(back then, of course)... It's whole lot easier to import the ready made 3D modesl into the Director and add effects in it... At least that's what I remember... :)

Thanks for bringing me up to date CB :p I think we're gonna learn how to do director-stuff next year...it sounds like a fun thing to do, if you know how to that is...but that's the same with alot of things, right?

'Up to date'??? I have not played Director very very very long time... :D
Yeah... The most important factor that Director and Flash are timeline based program makes it very easy to migrate frome one to another... Yet Lingo and ActionScript is somewhat different in that nature... (I heard that both of them are getting closer and closer not sure how accurate that is though...)
The bottom line is that Director is not that hard one to learn... As it goes with any other programs, it takes good amount of time and effort to learn one though...
My only concern is that you might not want to come back to Flash once you get your hands on Director... ;)

Can't you also use javascript in Director, now, in place of or along side of lingo? Or is that for something different, like how javascript is utilized in flash (to script the ide not instead of as).

Yeah... That's what I think I've heard on the latest Director version and that's what I meant on my previous post... :)

Macromedia provides 3D exporter that basically creates W3D file that Director can import into...

As for the Havok... I thought that it involves with the physics and stuff that you can use as a library(Xtra)... I don't know any more stuff than that...
