I've just wrapped up my latest Flash project, a simple little image gallery called "FezAlbum". You can check it out here:

blank for me too, Netscape 7.1. IE - nothing, just a broken replacement image.

Yeah... You cannot sell something that's not visible... ;)

Thank you! I think I have identified and fixed the problem (it was a small oversight in some loadVars code).

If you don't mind, please let me know if it works for you, now.

I still see nothing... :(

How can an error in a loadVars() object cause a whole swf not to show in a browser? Unless it was your first statement, before any kind of preloader, in which you accidently missed out any exception handling/error handling, and just decided to only take action if the loadVars() was sucessful?

Because this was exactly the case:

Well change it then.

So, your trying to sell a Flash application for money that doesn't even have a preloader or any error handling?

I have simple loadVars command in the first frame, but I overlooked one small thing. After the loadVars command is successfully run, the main application runs (with preloaders and all).

You're awfully rude.

Well change it then.

If i sound rude its because it appears that you are wasting peoples (and your own) time - i found your response to the fact that you had some serious errors in your application that you were trying to sell and post up for review, rather odd - like we're all missing something;

Because this was exactly the case:

...well try and debug and fix it then. As it is, all you've done is left it exactly the same (i.e. broken). Ok, so you've overlooked something, but its still blank - did you not check it before posting? Or are we all just going to sit here while you carry on telling people that you've got an error in your loadVars object.

I was pointing out a fact, the fact that you're trying to sell something that is not even built properly.

I fixed the loadVars problem before ever replying to your message in the first place. If you are still unable to see the SWF, I suggest you clear your cache, and if that does not solve the problem, then there must be something else I should investigate. This is already being run successfully on several other sites, however (i.e. http://www.nailpuppy.com/gallery.php ).

As for trying to sell something that is broken, I haven't even publicized this site with the exception of this forum.

I certainly do appreciate everyone's help in pointing out a problem I had looked over earlier (the loadVars issue).

If you feel I am "wasting your time," I suggest you ignore this thread.

Once again, to all who have helped, thanks so much. It was much appreciated.

Thanks for the input. I've made several adjustments. Would you mind clearing your cache and telling me if you still encounter the problem?

Same thing happens... The demo works, but your demo is STILL saying loading... ;)

Just out of curiosity... Is there any reason why you say the version will work with maximum 100 images???

Billy T

still doesnt work for me but I'm behind a uni firewall that does some crazy caching that I have no control over

CyanBlue

Ahh, at last, up and running...looking good. Loading time was nice and quick. Navigation back to the thumbnails was nice and easy too. Easy ti use, simple and a nice number of pictures on display as thumbnails.

Good job.

nice

some things that would help (in my opinion)

-ability to delete multiple files at once
- ability to upload multiple files at once (ie zipped up)
- can the user change the blue arrow?
- dont play the intro animation everytime they go 'back'
- need more error checking in admin panel - I upped a psd file and it said it went ok...couldnt see the image though

cheers

The movie seems to work fine for me using Mozilla Firefox. Good job.
