Inverse text effect

There is a staggeringly wonderful effect on the site http://www.pushhere.com where an animated grey box slides around the site and the title goes white when the box passes over it. The text is dynamic & animated with a typewriter effect.

Does anyone have any idea how to reproduce this effect?

if your doing this dynamically then you would put the white text above the black then have a movieclip mask the top while revealing the underneith. so 4 clips in all two for text two masks.

This is exactly what I mean. However, if both text clips are animated (i.e. typewriter effect) and the text is dynamic, you'll have to configure and synchronize the two clips to do the same thing at the same time. Do you think this is what I have to do?
