Setting up mySQL database

Hi...
i got a school proj that requires me to use PHP to grab data from Flash Mx to mySQL database and vice versa. I am new to PHP and mySQL. Can anyone guide me along on where can i download both of them and how to configure. I'm so confused now. Help!!! :confused:

the tutorials did not teach me how to grab data using PHP from mySQL and displayed in Flash.

Those tutorials do not teach you how to do that actual transactions because that is not what you initially asked... If you asked the other question, I would not have replied... As for the answer... I am not aware of any tutorial... Maybe there are some out there, but I am not aware of... Wait... I might have seen one or two at the FlashKit's tutorials section... Go check it out...
