I know it better to use windows inbuilt fonts in flash files but sometimes it become necessary to use non standard fonts. Can somebody point me to some good articles on how to use non standard fonts in flash so that the final result has optimal size and looks good too...

Who told you it was better to use fonts built into windows?

As far as I know, use any font you want to.

OK I get the idea. Flash exports all the elements including font while exporting. So when does it require to break apart the text part in flash?

As far as I know only when we need to do shape tween!!!
