I know this has been said several times already, but because I'm lazy can anyone tell me how to import an image onto flash? And what format should the image be (bitmap, jpg, gif?)?

File > Import > To Stage.. or To Library... I use .gif, best for viewing for web, in my opinion :)

huh yeah that's what I did. I just noticed that on my library it's a bitmap, not a GIF. what happend?
The image is all chippy now.
