Can I publish a movie with transparency background and play it using both netscape and mac?

transparency is supported by IE only and I doubt it works on Mac IE. Nothing does :)

OK. That's help explaining thing. Is there any way, though, to publish a movie on netscape without seeing the backgroud? I tried to make the background with alpha = 0% but that didn't help.

did you manage to do it? as far as I know NS supports no transparency in FLash bgs.

Yes, Jesse. Since I wanted to embed my movie in html, the best thing I could do was tring to match the bgcolor of html with the color I have in flash. For example, my bgcolor value in html was #0186F, so, I needed to use this same value in flash as my background color. Otherwise, it would come out white.
