This is hard to describe without an attachment, but I've created an animation that works fine when previewing within Flash, but does not display properly when exported to SWF.

The graphic is meant to look like a card with a letter on it, spinning horizontally. The basic image is a Group made up of a rectangular fill with a single letter text over it. Pretty simple animation:

Keyframe with the original size.
Keyframe with original, scaled down to width of 1.
Keyframe with scaled-down version, flipped horizontally.
Keyframe with the original size, flipped horizontally.
Keyframe with scaled-down version, flipped horizontally.
Keyframe with original, scaled down to width of 1.
Keyframe with the original.

It looks good inside Flash, the rectangle and the letter transform together, as though the card is spinning -- we see the front, then the 1-pixel side, then the back (reversed), then the 1-pixel side, etc..

Then I create an SWF. The rectangle shrinks and expands as it should, but the letter does not: the original letter shows up and is cropped (rather than resized) as the rectangle shrinks. The reverse image of the letter never shows up.

I imagine I am not doing something right with fonts. If it can transform the letter within Flash, shouldn't it be able to do it in the SWFPlayer?

Embed your font. It's been covered a few times, so searching the forums should get you headed in the right direction.
