creating hotel reservation system - advice

Hi there
i was hoping that somebody might have some advice for me. I am about to embark on a hotel reservation system for a friends small hotel. I have done a little work with flash, PHP and mysql before and would love to get my hands on some really good reading material, code, tutorials about creating small reservation systems using flash applications. I wonder if any one here on the forum have come across such information and if so, could they tell me where woul dbe a good place to start. Anything at all would be great - books etc. I am looking myself but am not finding specific enough information.

umm this may not be what you want to hear but i wouldnt suggest flash. straight php/mysql and spend time securing it instead of actionscripting that doesnt need it.... just my opinion.

you might also want to look into this site... although they used coldfusion and flash, it is a great example of a flash app...
