yeah i basically did it :)

its not easy to do and takes years of practise, there is no way i can show you until you know howto program in flash to an advanced level. Only then may i be able to consider it. A project like TBA takes years of work and a team of people, not to mention the numerous numbers of servers involved. The best you can do is play the first version released in 2 months :) maybe you can get some ideas from what me and a couple of mates have put together

and now i have a question! im trying to add this scoring system to my flash game you see... its like a parody of dance dance revolution. My friends keep on saying add a scoring system add a scoring system so i try and try but it doesnt work. what i did is i made a movie clip in which the arrows go up the screen. and i added actions to it saying:

if (Key.LEFT){
score1 += 10;
}

but it doesnt do anything then i tried:

if (Key.LEFT){
score1 ++;
}

and it still doesnt work. What should i do to make it work?

I'm sorry, but... you would have to be einstein² to script an instant messenger in flash at the age of 11.

It would take guys who reside at these boards and have taken Macromedia's Certified Developer Test months to program a thing like that. You would not only need flash, but a whole variety of programlanguages to do that.

I would really suggest sticking to more basic applications. I admire optimism, but this is like standing before Attila the Hun's army, armed with only a dagger. Alone and smiling. :)

PS: notice I'm using the word "program", which is totally different from action"scripting" and much more difficult :p

You'll need to use parseInt() on your input argument to make sure that you don't end up with that sort of ridiculous age, Laguana... :D

Zster21 my man... this is how it works in the world of forums when asking a question... see, if you want your question like answered and stuff, ya gotta acutally give them a place to start. Shoving an fla in their face isn't going to do much because it's too much work and takes too much time. Give them the code you're working with that applies to making the character shoot and maybe give them some ideas on why you think it doesn't work or give a small explanation about how the code works. Inform everyone that you have tried to get it to work (be honest) because it makes it more convincing. If you're just another person who goes around stealing actionscript then sticks it all together to make their own game, we aren't going to want to help you. We like the people who actually try to learn code for themselves, not people who get other programmers to do it for them. :-) so now you know

Darkware is quite right. You want the problem solved yet you've shown everyone nothing. I suppose we could guess what the problem is.

By the look of your Zuchini website you might want to consider taking some sort of graphic arts course that deals with color, contrasting, blending colors, choosing colors that go with other colors.

Plus, most of your Flash content on your site looks ripped from other locations. Lets hope thats not the case.

Oops! Zster21 certainly needs praises for such a wonderful website although taking graphic course is a new step to design professional graphics for much wider range of users with age above 18. I read his posts and it seemed like he solved all the problems by himself without seeking further assistances. So certainly he is brilliant in solving his own problem and by telling us what was his problem and how he had solved it. It's a positive attitude.

well thanx everyone but i didnt rip everything off i make it myself. and yah i thought making an instant mesenger would be like too friking hard. and about the drawing thing i cant draw for anything on the comp :P until i buy a pen mouse or watevr they are called my pics suck and i know that my recent movies i am trying to actually try drawing and choosing my colors better :)

well i have two questions now. the first one is kinda easy so here it is: How can i change the frames per second for a certain scene? and also i tried making an member thing it only worked for one account. so what i did was i put 2 input text boxes. username, and password, i added a button and on it it said

then i added

You can't change the framerate of a movie with Actionscripting...

As far as the password goes, I would use this.
if((username == "this" && password == "that") || (username == "this2" && password == "that2")){
gotoAndStop("member");

Anyhow, I don't encourage using this kind of system for password protection because anyone with one of those decompiler thingies can check out your code and find out your password/username.

You can kind of change the framerate at runtime... If you search around you should be able to find something which allows you to throttle down the framerate, and so then you set the framerate at the highest you want, and you can choose from lower ones. Alternatively you can try to make your own fps thing with setInterval and the like

ok i have another question i want to make this little 2 player fighting game so i know how to do everything with the attacks and stuff but i cant have player 2 controls! so i tryif(Key.isDown(Key.W)) and i want to have a, s, d, w, and f, g, h (for the attacks) for player one everything works fine
