how to draw this shape progressively ?

hi all,

please take a look at the attached picture.

i want to have this B appear progressively, following the shape lines (starting from the top edge of the most vertical trait), like a ribbon that progressively becomes the B, so i figured out that i could do it with masking and motion tweening but i can't seem to make it work.

any idea on how to organize my timeline ? would it be possible to actionscript such animation ?

Do you mean to have it appear as if it is being written out? On your mask layer, put a copy of your "B" and ungroup it. Now erase part of it, frame by frame until there's nothing left. All that's left is to play your MC in in reverse for the effect.
