Controlling movie clips based on Y coordinate

I am attempting to have a movie clip that trails the mouse, and as the mouse is moved down on the Y axis, once it passes certain points I would like the movie clip to jump to a different frame. So at the top of the stage the movie clip would loop in one way, and then in the middle of the stage if there mouse is moved there then there would be a go to and play for the next part of the clip, and at the bottom another change. What do I need to put in to check the Y coordinate and have it change the clip? Thanks
