They look like photo's to me... so it's probably to do with how they parked the cars etc etc.

You can use Advanced Properties in tweening to get the effect.

baby_annie's right, you just up the rgb values in the advanced settings. is the attached something like you want to acheive?

that was a helpful .fla file. however, i was wondering if you or anyone else would know different colors using the advanced settings. for example, what would be the rgb for dark red...and where can i go to figure that out myself?

there is a file linked there that creates the effect with script http://www.langwij.co.uk/tink/imageBurn.html.

you can find the RGB values for any color by putting a clip on the Stage. using tint to get the color that you want, then look under Advanced - Settings, and it will show you the RGB values for the color of the tint.
