lagging animation

I'm experiencing some lagging after I add my flash file to a webpage. I set my fps to 30 and the end file is only 128 KB. It seems that this lag only occurs when viewed on a mac. Has anyone experienced similar problems? Is there anything I can do to compensate for this, or am I just stuck?
