Any idea why I sometimes get told when i try to save a file that one of the symbols is badly damaged and should be deleted?

It seems to be quite easy to resolve by saving as Flash MX rather than MX 2004 which suggests it isn't a genuine problem, but it's quite annoying- does anyone know what might be causing it?

Hmmmm intresting :p

but the thing is if you save Mx instead of Mx2004

a lot of things are discarded for example ALL components (so the error will somewhere in the part wich is discarded)

i coud by totaly wrong on this but i think some of the components hase a file error
(uninstal / reinstal Flash)

To the best of my knowledge, on the current project I'm working on we only have a bunch of movieclips- no standard components at all. The symbol it was complaining about (this time) was a graphic.

I think if you do go ahead and save regardless of the warning it will make quite a mess of your library and make you very glad you backed everything up a few minutes ago...

Havent heard of that one before. If I were you Id try googling the quoted text from the warning. You might find where other people have encountered the same problem.
