Bonjour,
I know how to use Motion Path with a beginning point and
an end point. I am now trying to use a circle as Motion
Path. The problem is that I have no beginning and an end
to match. The first thing I have done is to cut a little
my circle to create a beginning and an end but it creates
a little pause in the my object's path if there is not
so many frames in my movie.
Does anyone knows a solution to use a circle as a Motion
Path ?
Thank you in advance :-)

This is what I do:
1. Make 2 keyframes on your guide layer. The second keyframe has to be in the middle of the movie.
A. First keyframe has 1/2 a circle.
B. Second keyframe has the other half.
2. Now snap your symbol to the begining and end of the first half circle in the first keyframe.
3. Now snap your symbol to the begining and end (the end and begining of the last keyframe) of the second half circle.
The result should be that you have a orbiting symbol on a 2 part motion guide.

Hey loyd that sounds great,
I tried it myself (as I've been doing something with rotating symbols) However when you place the symbol at the end of the second guide it just flies horizontally across rather than follow the guide. When you move it a few pixels away from the end it follows but it's still too short for a smooth rotation with no jump- am I missing something?

okay sorry about that what you need to do is on the second guide have the guide ecstend a little past the end point and snap the symbol in the possition it is in in the first frame. that is to say the second guide should have a little overlap with the first so flash wont spin it off the end. if you still have trouble i will make a little example for you.

Hello there,
thank you for your answers and help :-)
But as I am used to more traditionnal development,
I found my way through ActionScript.
I wanted to create a mini-Sun/Earth system as a
logo for new look and feel of my homepage. This
animated logo has to be on the upper left corner
of my headers, so I have to handle the fact that
a part of my animation will happen outside the page
itself.
I succeed to create a first version of the logo.
You can see it right there : http://1ppl.free.fr/system.htm.
Another time, thank you and I must say this forum is great :-)
