Is there a standard frame per seconds to use?

There really isnt a standard, I generally most people use about 20fps. I personally use 30fps.

30 fps is pretty smooth. Not so happy with anything less than that.

if you wana make a footer for here take it *2 :)

don't know why but i need to let anything in here to run whit 60FPS (they are designed for 30 FPS) every where else it's fine here it's to slow ? (hmm shoud make a bit testing on this)

the human eye is abel to separate frames belov 25FPS (thats why the TV have 25FPS)
anything faster is a fluid movement for your eye

i prefer 30FPS (for the supermanns in the population who are abel to separate 29FPS :D )

24fps is what I use.... smooth.....
Some people use 60fps but I dont even think it makes that much of a difference(smooth-wise).

I used 12fps when I was learning to animate... 24+ gives you smoother and more detailed animation though...

30 is good for websites and games and.... Oh yeah everything.... under 24 games seem to lag alot and thats not a fun experience... :(

24 is pretty much the standard for me!

www.geocities.com/dekar_master

for menus and quick animations I use 72fps (same as n64)
but for my main movies I use 18fps (mmm...18fps)

The only problem is when I have a custom cursor I wouldn't mind a higher framerate.

Custom curser lagging is an unfavoured past time... :)

I also use a higher framerate for more precise (and Bouncy... :) ) animations...
