I'm currently having a bit of a play with your server and FLA - I must say that I am very impressed. :)

A couple of things I'd like to know:
1. Is there, or will there be, any way to create different rooms in the chat
2. How do I make it so that when you press the enter key, the message you type gets sent to the server?

if you are getting the error(error connecting) because of the following resons
1 the server is not started
2 the ip address in the ip.text
Note: if you are tring to connect from a network change the 'localhost' in the ip.txt to your ip address other vise keep it
3 check the port.the default port is 1234.if you are not changed the ip.text it is ok
4 keep the ip.txt in the same folder where the swf file is.

to make a test do following

1 start socket server
2 start the swf file
Note this is a test so the clint and server must be in the same machine for ths test.

yess u can add it in ur site.to do that u must install the server program in your srever. if u are hosting your site in a virtual server or with any hosting compney u need a full time internet connected system and a gateway script to root the clints to your system.i will upload the gateway script soon on my server.

I have currently installed it and can connect easily if everything is on the same computer. I want to put it on a live server and want to see it in action. What exactly is need to be able to connect via the internet. Anilmathew when is the the gateway script going to be available. We are all anxiously awaiting more info.

What webservice are you using? I know you can get the country with the webservice that Eric listed, but about city and state we haven't found one yet.

yes there is a trojan horse in the socket server download there is. norton antivirus 2005 said there was one on the file.

i dont get any bugs or error reports from any one .i think it works ok,if u want it to use u must have a static ip address and a web server running for the current version. check it and report any prob and bugs

Well, your sample is very fine! Temporarily i could bring it to work on local server on my notebook. It worked indeed over my web address too. But, for my web contents, I use a linux server (SuSE distribution). Is there a possibility to start a search agent information server on a linux machine?
