Recently i have made a flash movie for NG and i kept coming up with the same problem. It lagged like crazy. Someone told me that the sound had to be streamed. Well i thought, great, Problem Fixed. Wrong! Instead of helping my situation it only made things worse. I set all of my imported sounds to stream, (the characters in my movie move there mouthes so things have to be percise when it comes to sound) and now i have no sound period. Nothing. Oh sure, when i submitted to NG it didnt lag any more at all! It would have been great if not for the fact there was no sound. I set my frame rate to 61 frames per sec, im not sure if thats high or anything, or if that has somthing to do with this problem, but if you have any suggestions post em here.

I suggest preloading your sounds via streaming beforehand, or preloading them in the first place

61 fps is awfully high. I think most people use 29 unless there is a lot of intricate animation. Apperantly the human eyes can only detect 25 fps so any above that is kind of wasted.
61 may tax the CPU fairly hard. I know on my smaller PC, i can't get cetain sites to play well when the play great on my newer PC.

try and limit the amount of objects, scripting, sound and graphical activity to an absolute minimum to increase overall performance. It will be a combination of all these factors that affect the performance. The high frame rate should only affect playback if you are running a lot of complex, high-res, moving, or simply large graphics in your animations.
