delayed getURL's (?)

i was wondering if anyone could make it clear to me how i could postpone the getURL action a few seconds.

here's an example- FINALI (http://www.finali.com)

If you are referring to the top menu... once the selection is made you would play the transition and at the end of the transition the getURL would be called. That's how I see it anyways... anyone else have a different idea?
