ok. i just finished this little "sitelet" with swift and flash--a ton of inspiration from the ultrashock intro-of course.
note: it was designed for a more passive user (there's a lot of motion) but the intro (473 kb) can be skipped anyway and still see some of the swift work in the main section (197kb).
just a little memo before i get heckled for file size!
additionally-- my actionscript is really lame, so I'm sorry to disappoint in that area.

The swift was cool but i wanted to comment on your site site...
That's a strange way to do a portfolio where it zips by you. Does it get a good reaction form prospective clients? Or are they just wowed by it moving around. I'd be curious to know.
Portfolios seem kind of limited in possibilities. Always intrigued when i see somebody do something remotely different.
Very Cinematic.

am curious how you do the text effect with the motion blur??

Making blurs with the text is a very tedious tweening process with lots of layers and white png's to in between to smooth things out a bit..
As far as the portfolio question--this really isn't a portfolio site. I use it more to deliver a wow factor. If clients want to see a book I send them the same url but withouth the "/3d" in it. From there they can assess my skills is see if it's what they're looking for.

Yeah that's what I'm talking about just the straight url...i removed the 3d and loked at your "regular" site. That was what my question pertained to.
