They missed off one of the most annoying ones. When people start a thread with a title like:
"I'm stuck" or "Help".
I tell you what really, really, really, REALLY get's on my tits, is when people post a problem in the Actionscript 2 forum, with Actionscript 1...why why why????!!! Then you reply with a small addition of doing your bit to help Flash's programming language to be a strongly typed, integral language, and they come back and say "why have you put 'Number' after that variable?' or 'What does void mean'...agrrrrr, if your not posting specific Actionscript 2 code, then post it in the MX forum!

I think we do have some structural problem at the AS.org...
If you go to the AS2 forum, you are not to post any AS1 questions...
If you go to the FMX forum, you are not to post any FMX 2004 questions...
So, we have no place for AS1 questions... I think this can be easily solved if we have AS1 forum, and we had some discussions earlier when we were restructuring, but nothing solid came up and this is where we are right now... Don't like it myself, but I don't think there is anything we can do about it since admins said no for that idea, if I remember it correctly...
I personally hate people giving out poor information... I try to use my crystal ball and come up with something that he/she might be trying... and he/she goes, that's nice, but that's not really what I am asking... Well... I then say have a nice day, thanks for wasting my time... :(

I don't get what's so hard to understand...Flash MX forum for AS1 questions...Actionscript 2 forum for AS2 questions. If you changed anything I'd just change the title of the Flash MX forum to "Actionscript 1.0", but it's pointless to add a brand new forum ;)

Oh, and don't forget the "Yeah I want this or that [insert something]. Can somebody make it for me ?" usually wrapped up as "make me an example".
<dead scary grin>Oh please let me hurry and push the new Flash document button so I can make it for you ! We're all like that ! We're actually here to do your job for you ! </dead scary grin>

Well... FMX forum cannot be an AS1 forum because people will never save the file for FMX, and we'll continusly say go to AS2 forum for that specific reason... It's like infinite loop... :(
As for the urgent topic, I just skip them because I am considering that they'd have found somebody by the time I read the thread, if it is really urgent that is... But then, if it is really really urgent, I'd have called for help to MM's support...
no the really urgent ones use pm.

hehe, I get PM's about once every 2 weeks. Normally I don't answer them because I'll notice that they just have 1 post. I think they just start a thread and then immediately send a PM to random members on the first page of the top posters list and ask them to look at the thread...those people frive me nuts, and if I was going to look at the thread, the second they send me a PM I don't bother helping them...you bother me in a PM, I won't help you!!
However, if the person has several hundred posts and they have already gotten some help but are still stuck, I gladly help them :D For instance, I had helped a guy by the name of "jrk_productions" in a thread about adding sound into Flash, but I lost track of the thread and someone else ended up helping him. He got some help from the other guy but was still a little stuck, so he PM'd me to remind me about the thread. I consider that good judgement on his part, especially since it was my fault for losing track of the thread. He's earned my trust so I'd gladly help him with any further problems. He was even nice enough to apologize to me in his PM, since he knew some people don't like receiving PM's from people they don't know...very happy to help those people ;)
