hi, im using a page with two frames. the top frame is the navigation and will always stay the same. the bottom frame has a big flash movie. when you roll over the buttons on the flash movie in the bottom frame, i want stuff to happen to the movie in the top frame. is this possible?

Mike, please don't post your email-addy in here for the sake of getting answers to your questions; this is a forum which basically comes down to other people also benefiting from the answers you get...

That being said, you'll probably be interested in FS Command, this makes it possible to have two flash-movies communicating (client-side, so fscommand won't help you making several users on different computers communicating with eachother)...

I've never done alot with fscommand, but here are some links that might come in handy:
- The actionscript.org-tute on fscommand (http://www.actionscript.org/tutorials/intermediate/FS_Command_JavaScript_Library/index.shtml)
- An example on the macromedia-site (http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?event=view&id=KC.tn_15692&extid=tn_15692&dialogID=37570897&iterationID=1&sessionID=963087567bc3204e5042&stateID=0%200%207809580&mode=simple)
- Search-results from the macromedia-site (http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?search_text=fscommand&loc=en_US&event=search&product=SG_Flash&action=Search)

That should help you getting started, if you have any further questions; just ask
