scrolling left 2 right

I've gotten a mc to scroll from top 2 bottom, but no such luck converting it for left 2 right.

I'm attaching a simplified version of my file (rt2lftScrollTest.fla),
as well as the file I modified which successfully scrolls top 2 bottom.

I would really appreciate any help with this.

only had a quick look but have you tried changing all the y's to x's and the heights to widths?
