Graphics Gurus, Help Us Out

Ok I'll keep it short. We're in need of some graphics. Neither Strok nor I has time to do this and I remember back in the day we would have just asked around. We seem to have kind of gotten out of the habit of that a little. Anyway if you think you're graphically gifted at all, here's what we need:


Three little icons to go with our new Firefox plugins. 16x16px gifs. Read more here (http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?t=73123) .
Some 88x31 (or thereabouts) little graphics which people can use to link to our site.
Some 468x60s which people can use to link to our site
A new 16x16px icon to represent ActionScript.org. That's right we're talking favicon.gif. The little icon which shows up when you bookmark our site.


I don't have any idea what we're looking for in terms of preconceived results. Give it your best shot and attach works here. All contributions welcome. Thanks in advance!

Obviously we don't expect everyone to contribute one of each. That's just our wish list. If you think you can make one killer 16x16 icon, please do. You're not obliged to make all 4!

Also, when thinking about the Firefox icons, please consider their purpose. We'll need one which is indicative of the ActionScript.org Library, one which is indicative of the forums... The third one (which will search the whole site) could probably just be the same as the new favicon.gif. Something which is just indicative of the site....

I would just say a white shirt with the logo that is ont he site now :) Though there has to be some sort of catchy tag line added on to it.

I like the concept Madgett, thanks for starting us off! The red is associated with Flash in my mind. I also associate grey and orange with our site, so some integration of that might work well. That's just a guess on my part; I'm not a graphically oriented person.

Hopefully we'll see others too...

I like it too, though I think you could make a small change to it to get it more related to actionscript.org The logo has the text "[as]" in it (which stands for ActionScript no doubt), which is good, but when certain people want to talk about actionscript.org, they often just use the text "[as]org". I think having the "[as]" doesn't exactly sum up what the logo is representing, and only people who have been to [as]org several times at least would know what that would stand for. I think if you replaced that text with "[as]org", it would be much more representative...any thoughts on that??

I like the style of the 1st one actually. :)
The Flash 'f' isn't recognisable in the 2nd one and somehow the 3rd one looks a tad 'we want to get too much in too little space'.

But in overall, great work madgett ! :)
