i have a text file that i am using to display information in a text box in flash, and i want to change the contents of that text file in either a flash or html interface, so that i can easily update the text box in my movie... administrator type stuff... are there any easy ways to do it?

Taldos has a point but I thinky ou're trying to do it without editing the Flash at all, right?

if there is a way to do it all in flash, i would love to know how to do that... i messed arround with the smart clips but they didnt seem to be of much help. if possible i want to enter the date and some text into a form text field and then store the values so that the text that i enter will show up in another text field for my users to see what i have updated

Smart clips would allow a non-Flash savvy person to edit the content but they would have to have the Flash editing software. The easiest way would be to use PHP to update a text file online which the Flash app reads from. www.php.net/fopen
