Hi!
I'm a real newbie at flash.
I can't type action script, I just can copy it from my editor and only for a frame. I can't assign action script to a button.
I already changed to expertmode. Should I install Flash 5 new?

Hello,
I am pretty new to Flash as well, but what I would do is select the button with your mouse, right click on the button and then select actions from the context menu.
This will then allow you to assign actionscript to your button (hopefully!)
Hope this helps

:) :) :)
thx to Micheal!!!!
It works.
Hi,
To assign an action to a frame you use the cursor to select the frame. The Actions Panel will say 'Frame Actions'. A small letter 'a' will appear in the frame on the timeline once you've de selected the frame.
To assign an action to a button you use the cursor to select the button (not the frame) You will need to turn off 'basic button actions' in the control panel in order to select a button. The Actions Panel will say 'Object Actions'.
cheers.
