I see it all over. egomedia, heavy.com, etc. How do they do the FX with the graphics; breaking it up into squares, disassembling it moving it around, and then reassembling the picture. It boggles the mind.

What I need to know is how to change the variables. I have circles but I want squares. I need them to line up in rows seemlessly to make a rectangle. Then I would like to display works across it. I found the tutorial but it doesn't have any documentation.

loading screen

the paticles 1 and 2

in this site under movies scripting movies there are a few by Den Ivanov.

I know this is script with several variable settings for position x and y. It taks the dots then arranges them to make what appears to be a solid background. The one I have is a version of particles that I have played with to figure out but I really don't know how to make the action more smooth and the final rectangle seamless. Play it. I will also throw up my played with version of Den's at:

http://www.allatus.com/particles21.html with a link to the code.

Basically, I would like to know what variables control what. I put circles up so I could get a clear picture of how it arranges them but I am still having difficulty.

Take a look and if you can give me some info that would be great. If you can direct me to some info that would be just as helpful.

I really appreaciate anything anyone can give me on this.

Wow, that looks great.

I really appreciate the files. We can manipulate this file to use on our own sites?

Strok has posted the files above, Mine is not that great, but I put a URL above. It is basically Den's with some modification for Jesse to take a look at. I put no coding effort into it, just playing around to see how it works.

Now I know

;o)

One thing I notice about Strok's version is that it goes a lot faster than some other versions I've seen. It's nice and smoooothe :)
