bmp sequences...

I have an mpeg file from a vhs that is on my computer and I need something to convert it into a series of bmp's or jpeg's, maybe even tiff's. I tried using WebFlixPro but it seems that you have to save each individual frame and if you want a series of 200 to start with, that could take a really long time. I just want something that can put the whole thing in a series of pictures so I can import it into Flash after making them into vector graphics and use them like video. Is there such a program? Am I doing something wrong with WebFlixPro?

after effects
premiere
final cut pro

even quicktime pro

After Effects seems to work like a charm. Haven't used it too much but I ran a test on a small mpeg and it was able to create the sequence of bmp's and then import them to Flash.
