Hello all,
Even after i read some tutorials on loading txt files, i find i'm going nowhere.
I have a txt file called a.txt which has the following contents in it:
&word=innocent
On flash, i created a frame and i add in the following
loadVariablesNum ("a.txt", 0);
that's all i did and it didn't worked for me. Any help?

you need a dynamic text box with the variable name "word".
innocent will then display in that box - is that what you wanted?....maybe you just wanted the variable loaded....
I dont know - I'll up my file anyway
cheers

click on the text tool and then look at the text options panel
change it from static to dynamic and give it a variable name

That helped me out aswell,
but how do i make it so that the text from the text file is shown as a html based link to a webpage?
I need this for some work i'm doing. So i don't have to continuly edit a flash file to change links on a menu.
Thanks.
