Embedding video - interactive television prototype

Hiya

I'm creating a prototype of an interactive TV application.

The flash file that I'm working on has 10 + scenes. Is there a way to embed a quicktime (or avi) movie into the flash file WITHOUT having the video start from frame one each time the scene changes?

Basiclly, I want the user to be able to watch the video uninterruped as he/she
navigates through the application. Additionally, I want the user to be able to minimize & maximize the screen.

What would be the best way to handle this?

Don't use scenes ... 'nuff said :)

Load the embedded video (as it's own external .swf) on another level of your main movie.

i have a question.............does the system has to load the whole movie in an instance while playing it............if it is so how can a long movie like that of more than 5 minutes can be played
