Image Swap To Image Map

I need to have a single word ("menu") text at the bottom center of a popup that, when clicked, will change to 2 words, aligned horizontally, also centered at the bottom of the popup. The second words need to be hyperlinked.

I haven't been able to find a menu script that will do this so I am wondering if it is possible to do it with an onclick image swap where the second image is an image map?
