I have a feeling my problem is probably very basic, hence, this section.
I've been making a movie which, ok. It has the main timeline of 3 frames. in it, there are 5 bubbles which are movieclips with two text fields in each. And what it's SUPPOSED to do is to have that field grab variables constantly (ie, when it heads back to frame one) from a text file / php file. I'm pretty sure my problem is that the 'this' keyword isn't heading to the correct textfield, but all my attempts at specifying the correct path name haven't worked. So, I figured I'm way out of left field in terms of specifying correct path names... or there are more problems than i thought. heh.
the file/s can be found at http://lisa.arch.usyd.edu.au/~nbla0224/bubblesas2.fla
and http://lisa.arch.usyd.edu.au/~nbla0224/bubblesas2.swf
Oh, and all the scripting in the bubbles is simply animation stuff. So, feel free to ignore it.
Any help would be more than appreciated, or if you have a better suggestion on how to do it, I'd be more than happy to listen.
Thanks in advance.
