Hi, my names Aaron, I'm new to these forums, and to action scripting itself. I have experince in flash however, and have a pretty sound knowledge of basic to intermediate skills of the program. I want to make a game, and to this I figure I need to learn actionscripting. First off are their any newbie friendly tutorials out there to get your feet wet into actionscripting?
Also, the game I am trying to create is a simple avoid game. You controll Led Zeppelin on stage, and for some reason people are throwing pies at him. You need to side scroll and avoid the pies. What parts/tools of actionscripting am I going to need to learn specifically to achieve this. Is something like this relativly hard to do? Or can it be accomplished by simply putting in a few hours of work?
Thanks in advance for anyone who helps me.
Oh yah and I have Macromedia Flash MX.
EDIT: Im also looking for a free online tutorial by the way
