Here's a little homepage I made just for fun.
It's my first attempt with Flash and I'd appreciate your comments. Thanx.

Hey...just for fun, eh?
Good stuff...Clean, crisp, easy to use...simple yet effective...it works all around... I liked the effets on the initial links, but then I missed them...as you have the menu at the bottom...but overall a graet "for fun" project!
Keep it up!

Wow, thanx for your encouraging words.
I was expecting far worse. Anyways, I'll have a thought about the navigation issue. Cheers :)

The navigation is just fine the way it is!!! Don't get me wrong!
I just wanted to say the "ripple" effect is excellent but then once you are "in" that effect is gone...so to speak...sauf a few...
Keep up the great work!!

Your FIRST???? attempt???
Oh man, why did you post this?? -lol- I am also starting with Flash and was kinda glad with the progress I made, till I saw your site...
It's really awesome, I wonder, have you had experience with Video Editing or so?? it has the look and feel of a small video clip.

Hey, even more positive reply. You make me blush now ;-) Thx.
@JaMes(r): No, I'm not into Video Editing at all and believe me, this site took me ages to finish evenso (or because) there's very little actionscript involved. So, no need to give up... we're just at the beginning.
@serge: Had a look at your site, nice work ! Especially liked the little effect on your "Back"- Button. But why do I have to preload over 700 KB (that's what Opera is indicating) ? Would take some time on a dialup connection.
Thanx again guys, Toowoomba.

Hey...very nice. neat and professional....
but...when viewing the slide show another movie is also can be seen in the backgroung. it does some harm for the interface.
anyways....I am a newbee too.

I think it can be visible only if you right click and play the movie...So I think its not a major issue. but I would like to know whether there is any method to get rid of that too....

I have found it kind of weird that my site is around 700k and it takes so long to load. Do you have any recommendations for an advanced preloader that will load my site quickly?

Nisha, you're right concerning the slideshow. The slideshows are loaded into level1. When you right click and play the movie the playhead on level0 seems to jump back one frame causing the main navigation (on level0) to display again. Yuck - Bad scripting. Gotta fix that some day.
Serge, I'm not a pro but I can make two suggestions: Have a look at your bitmaps and try to reduce their size. Check wether you can load your content on demand. That's what I did when my site reached a certain size -for example, all the pics and slideshows are little .swf loaded only if the user really wants to see them. Keeps the initial filesize low. :)
Billy T. - Thanx mate. Must be kind of weird for you looking at a German site with travelpics from Australia. ;)
Happy New Year to all of you, Cheers Toowoomba.
