swap depth Tutorial

I have a request, I'm looking for a tutorial on swaping depth as it pertains to menus. Forexample, when I clip on menu1 a window pops up and then I press on menu2 another window pops up infront of menu1, and if you press menu1 again it pops to the front. And since I am new to Actionscripting, I am requesting that the tutorial be explained every step of the way.

That would be great.
