Checking the Registery file from Flash Presentation

I have a project. It will distribute on CDs.

I want to know that is it possible that from Flash Presentation we can check (read or write) registery files?

I think you will have to use third party projector tools such as Zinc, SWF Studio or mProjector to do that...

It means alone flash we can'nt use these types of commands.
What about Director ?

I haven't used Director for a long time, so my memory might not be correct, but as far as I can remember, you will need the Xtra to read the value from the registry...
