my boss: each user we will give him a smartcard containing all information needed
me :what's the link between authentification and the smartcard

do you think that this can be done with php and can i use the ocx made by my collegue and have you seen a website that use this technique to identify users?????

what do you mean?? Will each user have a number that they will have to remember? If they don't need to recall it from memory, I suppose you could use md5 encryption to turn each users name and/or password into an md5 encrypted string, and use that to store their info...is that what he wants?

smart card like your banking smart card
we give to each user (we know them and we can reach them :)) a smart card and the smart card reader, when he want to enter the site he have to put his card in the smart card and the website read the information in!!!!!
