UTF-8 and line break

I'm loading several txt in UTF-8 to my movie, everything is fine except the line breaks, Flash MX make them double (It lefts an empty line in the middle) when it should make them simple (they are), how can I override this?

html txt with <br> tag works fine.

Is there any other way?
Those txt need to be changed often by someone doesn't have any idea of html so I want him to change them straight in txt.
