Here's the new site I've been working (slaving) on for the past several weeks. I'd sure appreciate it if you guys could take a look through it to make sure everything is running ok.
It's a fan site dedicated to the latin singer and actor, Chayanne. I welcome any and all feedback on the work.

Thank you!

I've just tested your site on a Mac in Netscape and Explorer, and everything is working OK. But who the F*** is Chayanne?
Mikky, themall

Mikky.. I'm still howling over your response! That has to be one of the best replies ever made to one of these site check requests.
Thanks for the thorough check, I really appreciate it.
:)

PS. Chayanne is a latin singer, known in the United States by exactly 7 people. Elsewhere in the world, especially Latin America and Spain, he's a huge star.

Nice work there...Only one thing, though...I couldn't use the scroller down on the opening page....
Also on the about page, I think, but I don't know if there was more text there or not....
I had to click twice on the photo link but that might've just been me....but...you do know how users are!

Thank you!
I don't know what went wrong with the navigation. I went back and furiously tried to recreate difficulty with the scrollbuttons and photo section, but I can't get it to not scroll or load!
I tried uploading completely fresh files and dumping the browser cache, and still no go. Anybody have any suggestions for what may have gone wrong?
I really want to fix this, but can't id the problem. Please, is anyone else seeing this at the site? Red Penguin, could you try loading it up again to see if it could maybe have been a server thing?
And again, thank you.

one more thing.. that guy after the intro looks like a psycopath, :)
oh yeah - the animations on the buttons are too slow - speed up your movie

Maybe he *is* a psychopath. Who knows? He's a helluva good looking one.
Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll play with the animations to try and speed things up a bit. But if I'm forced to change the frame rate now, I will have to kill myself.

That was in jest, of course. But the fact is that I have a lot of content resting in external swfs, many of which have streaming sound.

external movies take on the frame rate of the movie they are being loaded into
I think....

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this thread - I was out of town for a few days.
Yes, it's true that the external movies will take on the frame rate of the main movie. I've read that it's possible to script around it, but I don't know how.
Anyway, if I change the frame rate in the main movie for better animation in some of the external swfs, then others will be totally messed up without massive reworking. :(
The movie is set to 24 fps, and I'd hesitate to increase it much beyond that anyway. I'll work on speeding up the animations by hand, rather than mess around with the frame rate. Like I said, I was just joking around.
This site is great! Thanks everyone for the great input here. It's very helpful.
:)
