Preloader help...

hey guys

Oh my god...i was looking at the tutorials on this site and found this for a preloader.

ok followed it exactly apart from some sizes but it just doesn't work when i preview it.

The .fla from the tutorial works but i have copied it exactly, instance name and all, but it just doesn't work.

here you go - my attempt is the on aptly named. Please open both side by side and try and work out what i have done wrong.

that tutorial doesn't work in MX 2004 try this one instead:

but how come it works in mx2004 if made in mx?

because the little note on top of the tutorials says ***Doesn't work in MX 2004****
It just isn't a good code that's all.

Umm well noob question, I have the exact same problem as suikoden. I followed "exactly" the instructions yet it didnt work. I understand it doesnt work with MX 2004, but how come the "preloader.fla" file provided with the tutorial works? I looked at the script and everything on it..copied exactly same thing to mine. Yet mine doesnt work...

Lol ok nvm, I found my answer 2 seconds later in another thread lol..I have another question though.

This might sound even noober then my previous, since the "smooth preloader" tutorial didnt work with MX 2004, I modified the "preloader.fla" to work with my project. It is now publish with flash 6. My question is..whats the difference between publishing it with flash 6 as oppose to 7?

Can others view my project?
