Macromedia used a simple, but great effect on "The Edge" Newsletter websites:

On load, the dynamic text slides into place at the top of the page. Looks like there's inertia involved as well. Has anyone ever duplicated this effect? I've never been able to figure this one out - especially with regards to dynamic textboxes (I know for a fact that this website is loading text from separate textfiles).
