hopefully this isn't hard to understand:
in firefox, on a mac, an .swf movie i created doesn't work correctly. there is a short animation movie clip (call it mc1 and say 10 frames) that plays in frame 1 of the root timeline. there is a stop action on the first frame of the root. mc1, at the end of its 10 frame timeline, directs the root to gotoAndPlay(2)... and everything works great. in place of the mc1 intro movie clip, the navigation shows up in its place and you navigate from there. however, in firefox on a mac, the first time the site loads, the .swf starts, the mc1 movie clip plays, but then it disappears, as do 2 other movie clips on the stage at the same time, and the navigation movie clip (in the second frame of the root timeline) never shows up. but if you refresh the whole page again in the browser, it works and from then on its correct in the cache. so its just the first time a mac user opens the site in firefox and its like the root timeline gets stuck on the first frame and yet also makes 3 movie clips on the stage disappear... after the first visit and refresh, it works fine.
www.villageworks.net (the company i work for - can i post a question like this when it relates to my company? hope so...)
any ideas? its not a huge issue, but in the design world, macs are fairly common, so i'd like to try and figure this out... just have no clue where to start. i hope this isn't a redundant question. thanks for reading, i appreciate it.
