Before you look remember that :

a) I am not a designer and don't wish to be one, I just want to improve my flash skills
b) my flash skills are at a very low level (I know, je sais, ik weet het, etc)
c) ALL good sugestions (with preferably a clear explanation) are more then welcome.

After you have seen the site know that:

a) I hope you did not hurt yourself falling of you chair laughin...
b) you managed to finish the game
c) you subscribed ;-)
d) I'm a very sensitive person, who saw many site people posted here and was quite impressed by a lot of them and hopes to one day deliver a site just as good.

Thanks in advance

Oh dear, I've been having a look at other sites posted here, and found that I have a long way to go......

Mmm, one can learn to work with Flash, but being good a designing a site is something else.

I was going to get back to you James - don't feel discouraged! There are positive things about your site (intriguing, nay, downright mysterious game! No rules, no discernible objective, no winners! My kind of game, you situationist prankster you) but obviously, overall, a ways to go...this forum isn't only for experts, or I'd have no place here. That's a good position to be in and Flash/Actionscript is a good medium to be working and learning in.

Keep at it and look forward to seeing later versions......:)

Thanks for the comment...

I willl surely post a 'Look-At-It-Now' message, and hope you will see any improvement in it.

This site clearly shows that i lack design talent -grin- , so if you have the time to look at

http://www.bichke.com/Flash_Files/PREVIEW2.swf

You will see a site, which I made in Flash, but the original design was made by someone else...
The problem I had there was to get the drawing right. I figured it out myself, but wonder if there is a 'short-cut in doing that' - I had to animate 100 frames myself.
And the sound is also a problem. the synchronisation with the animation is not always correct. Coudn't figure that one out yet, but have read briefly a few pages about it.
ps: all the links in there are disabled.

thanks again

I checked out the first site and I didn't like it. I checked out the second site and liked it. Yeah yeah yeah, I know your not a designer, but the second site is leaps and bouds ahead of the first one. It's actually quite romantic, who is that woman?

I do suggest you use the same type face through out. Thats just a typical rule of thumb for design. I also recomend you use a device font for the links. It's a "white space" site I recomend Arial.

anyhoot, I'm outa here.

Hi,

I thought the first site was pretty good. A little immature perhaps, but there was a really good logic to the navigation. I understood where I was all the time.

The second site is really really pleasant. I love the way you caressed her outline. It was really tender.

As far as not being a designer you should see some of the rubbish my boss comes up with, and he's on 30k a year. I can't show you because he visits this forum and frankly I'll get sacked but don't stress. Keep going.

cheers.
