Importing Image Sequences

I remember when working on an old version of Flash a few years ago that when I imported multiple images into a movie it asked whether I wanted to import them as a sequence, if I clicked yes it put them one after another in a movie clip.

I'm currently working on a project in Flash MX and I'm trying to create an animation out of about 100 sequential png files, but when I import them it doesn't offer me this option anymore. Does anyone know how to import graphics as a sequence??

It still works in FlashMX. The trick is to only select the first file in the sequence, not the whole sequence. Then select "open" and then Flash should ask if you want to import all similarly numbered files.

If your images are named like an example:
image_01 , image_02, image_03 ... and so on, flash will ask you if you want to import the image as sequence.
